Help: Open-Radio.nl uses OGG audio instead of mp3

Open radio and open content asks for a open file format: OGG Vorbis. OGG audio is just like mp3 audio, but without the patents and other restrictions that come with MP3 and offers better sound quality than MP3.
Unfortunaly some commercial players, like Windows Media Player, can not play OGG files yet. So you will have to install some suitable software on your PC.
Ogg Codecs for Windows
If it does not work:
Windows and Internet Explorer
Microsoft has a tradition of using their own 'standards', trying to saveguard their monopoly. When you use Internet Explorer and click on an OGG audiolink, Windows will almost always open Windows Media Player, while this player can't even play Vorbis OGG. And even when you already have a OGG player, often Windows will still think it knows better and open Windows Media Player. Then the only solution is to install a plug-in for Windows Media Player:Ogg Codecs for Windows
Windows and Firefox
With Firefox (a open source web browser) you can use any player you like. If you have a player which can play OGG audio (like Winamp), changes are everything already works: Click the big 'listen' button, choose the option 'Open with' and click OK.If it does not work:
- Download and install a player which can play OGG audio (see below).
- Click the big 'listen' button, choose the option 'Open with' and see if your OGG player is in the window. Confirmed? Click OK and you are ready.
Not so? Open the window, choose 'Other' and click OK.

Now a list opens. Is the player not in the list, choose 'Browse', double click the map of your player in 'Program Files' (browse there if needed) and double click the name of the program. Tack 'Do this automatically for files like this from now on' and click OK.
Now Open-Radio should start to play. And from now on your PC knows how to play a 'OGG stream'.
